Tonight we held our first speaker event of the term. A huge thank you to Daniel Sors from Catapult as well as everyone who came and actively interacted, it was a really informative and enjoyable session! As a short summary, our speaker is an aerospace engineer passionate about space science and technologies who is currently supporting the UK space ecosystem to develop technologies at the Satellite Applications Catapult. He shared about the status of the space sector, key space technologies and examples of space technologies being developed around Oxford, specifically about the Harwell and Westcott campus of Catapult, Check out the photos below for the wonderful presentation, including links to the various tools, online portals, virtual/augmented reality platforms, as well as apps recommended by our speaker! We will organise more speaker events in the future, so stay tuned, keep an eye on our social media channels, join the mailing list, or follow us on Eventbrite!
Meanwhile, as the term is coming to an end, we had our last project sessions of MT22 today as well (nice way to end the term!). Thank you to all the members for the efforts so far, and we look forward to seeing everyone in January! Wei Qiang, IT Officer at OxRAM
